Paul Pogba Likely Not To Play At 2022 World Cup After Juventus Move

French player, Paul Pogba’s participation at the Qatar 2022 World Cup is being highly questioned.

It is reported that the France midfielder hurt his knee while practising.

Paul Pogba, who returned to Juventus in full earlier this month, will confer with a professional to determine the best course of action.

After hobbling off the practice field in Los Angeles last week, the 29-year-right old’s knee was found to have a torn lateral meniscus.

Pogba wasn’t supposed to travel with the Serie A giants as they continued their pre-season tour; he was supposed to get surgery while in the US.

The 2018 World Cup champion, who had just recently returned to Juventus, has instead travelled back to Italy to see an expert.

According to La Gazetta Dello Sport, there are two possible treatments for his injury, and one of them could prevent Paul Pogba from playing until 2023, which would cause him to miss the World Cup.

One alternative is to remove a portion of the meniscus, but such an operation is best suited for younger athletes and could impair Pogba’s mobility. Paul Pogba would miss around 40 to 60 days as a result.
