Let us love one another and our nation will be better – Anglican Bishop

The Lord Bishop of the Anglican Diocese of Accra Rt. Rev’d Dr. Daniel Sylvanus Mensah Torto has today admonished Ghanaians and all Christians to exhibit love for their own good and for the goodness of the nation at large.

Celebrating the mass on the 1st Sunday of the year 2022 (Second Sunday after Christmas) at the St. John Anglican Parish here in Accra, Bishop Torto in His homily pressed on love as the greatest ingredient for progress in this new year.

“As we begin the new year, let us love one another, for love is of God” “As a nation, when we are able to live in love with one another, our country will be fixed; our country will be where God wants it to be!”

The Lord Bishop lamented that every citizen including Christians are part of the problem that surround us.

Vices such as Cheating, corruption , bribery among other things will seize the land if we cannot love one another he added.

Preaching further, Bishop Torto highlighted some other vices such as under declaration of age, which leads to unproductivity and eventually widening the unemployment gap is indication that we do not love ourselves and our neighbors as we ought.

The man of God begged the grace of the Almighty upon the church; christians to live worthy of the calling and as good citizens of this nation so that Joy and peace would be our Portion.

He summed his sermon with a prayer for the church and nation in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
