Residents of Mamprobi in the Ablekuma South Constituency in the Greater Accra Region have bemoaned the Ghana Police service for what they describe as police brutality in arrest of a neighbour.
A video circulating on social media shows a man who has been cuffed on the ankles instead of his wrist as is known to be common practice by the service.
Residents who were present at the scene alleged that the police entered the room of the victim whiles he was asleep with his wife, put handcuffs on his feet and dragged him out.
He pleaded they put the cuffs on his wrists to enable him walk along as they took him to the police station but they refused and fired warning shots to disperse the crowd which bemoaned the act by the police says the eye witness who spoke to Adoa TV off Camera.
A mobile device of a resident who captured the unfortunate incident was also allegedly seized by the police personnel.
