The New Patriotic Party ( NPP) in the Damango Constituency has debunked a video circulating on social media that some youth in Busunu, a small community in the Savannah region have rejected some bags of rice from their Member of Parliament, Hon. Lawyer Samuel Abu Jinapor.
According to the Damango NPP Constituency Chairman, Alhaji Adam Braima, the rice or the gesture in question was not donated or offered from the Mp, Lawyer Jinapor to the Youth of Busunu or any other youth in the constituency and, thus no such rice could have been rejected.
MR. Braima indicated as is customary across the country during Eid, the festival of sacrifice and generosity, the mp made donations to Imams, Chiefs, and queen mothers only and not any youth.
He further added the government of President Akufo Addo has made significant efforts in resolving the age-old youth unemployment issue in this country, Damango Constituency and Busunu inclusive, Hon. Jinapor recognizes that a lot more work remains to be done to bring the issue of youth unemployment to a satisfactory situation.
Alhaji Braima made this statement at the press briefing at Damango.
