Military Brutality In WA: Soldiers involved demoted and charged- Defense Minister

Minister for defense, Nitwil Dominic has briefed Parliament on investigations that have been conducted Following the eighty-six(86) Soldiers of the 10 Mechanized Battalion in WA who stormed Tindama, a suburb of WA Municipality in the Upper West Region in search of a Colleagues smartphone which was allegedly stolen.

Speaking on the floor of the house on Thursday,8 July 2021, he disclosed that all personnel who were on duty on the day of the incident have been charged, tried, and punished as appropriate.

However, the Minister explained that soldiers who were deeply involved or visibly identified in various brutalizing of some residents have been charged, tried, and warded thirty days each in detention.
