2021 Population Census; Do not indulge Partisan divisions- Speaker

Speaker of Parliament, RT. Hon. Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin has urged Honorable Members of parliament not to indulge in any partisan divisions during the 2021 population and housing census.

According to him, the exercise is necessary for planning, budgeting, and coordinating state responses on challenges facing the development of the country, hence, all Members of parliament must endeavor to aid in this regard. He said this Before the Commencement of Public Business on Tuesday, 29 June 2021.

The Speaker, who was among the first personalities to be counted in the exercise on Monday morning, pledged the support of the legislature for the 2021 Population and Housing Census (PHS). Before the Commencement of Public Business on Tuesday, 29 June 2021, the Rt. Hon Speaker stated that although Members of Parliament were deployed to their various constituencies to actively participate, mobilize, educate and sensitize their constituents on the ongoing exercise, there is the need for them, to keep it up until the exercise is totally done.
