The National Labour Commission has given the government and TUTAG six directives to help resolve Its strict action.
According to the commission, the 2018/2019 Research arrears of TUTAG members should be paid by the end of July 2021.
The technical University teachers association which began a struck action in demand for a better condition of service has lamented that they won’t back down until their needs are met by government.
In a said Press release on Wednesday, 16th June 2021, The National Labour Commission together with the disputing parties had a meeting concerning their Grievances. The said parties involved in the meeting were; The Ministry of Employment And Labour Relations, the Ministry of Education, and the Fair Wages And Salaries Commission (FWSC).
It later emerged that The Ministry of Education should implement the Tier-Two Pension payment for TUTAG retried members and report to the commission with 60 days.
