Parliament suspends sitting to join tree planting exercise

Parliament has today 11th of June 2021 suspended its sittings to enable Members of Parliament join the Green Ghana day.

All 275 Members of Parliament are expected to lead in the tree planting exercise in their respective constituencies.

The Ministry of Lands and Natural Resources intends to plant five million trees today to kick-start a campaign under its Green Ghana Project.

Meanwhile, “The clerk to Parliament is hereby directed to provide the cost of travel in and out for Members of Parliament to participate in the exercise.
