Ghana’s education Sector: Gov’t is failing to live up to expectation

BY: Mary Quartey

Ranking Member of Parliament’s Education Committee, Peter Nortsu Kottey has stated that the Akufo Addo-led government is failing to live up to expectations in the country’s education sector.

This allegation follows the recent changes of date and the release of the new reopening and vacation dates for all senior high schools by the Ghana Education Service (GES). Speaking in an interview with our parliamentary reporter Mary Quartey, he explained that the recent change of the timetable for reopening and vacation is a result of inadequate planning by the government.
