Social media sensation, Rosemond Alade Brown, popularly known as Akuapem Poloo, has exhibit deep regret over her actions which led to her imprisonment last week.
Speaking at a press conference today Saturday, April 25, 2021, the Social media personality uttered words of appreciation to President Akufo-Addo, the Minister of Justice and Godfred Yeboah Dame. She feather thanked all persons whom supported and championed campaigns for her release from the Nsawam Prison.
“I didn’t know that taking a photo with my son in that manner would put me in trouble. I didn’t know it wasn’t a good thing. Please have mercy on me and forgive me. I didn’t do that intentionally. I want to urge my colleagues and young people too to desist from such an act, especially all forms of nudity. We need to put a stop to it. It is not good.”
Akuapem Poloo therefor urged the public to refrain from emulating her deeds.
Social media personality Rosemond Brown was given a 90-day jail term following her conviction on charges of publication of obscene material and domestic violence. The judge, Christina Cann, bemoaned the spate of nudity on the Ghanaian social media space.
She was later granted bail by the Criminal Division of the High Court pending an appeal filed by her lawyer against her 90-day jail sentence.She was granted bail in the sum of GHS80,000 with two sureties.
