Internet and data service provider, K-NET has cautioned all TV channels on their platform to take down any channel promoting any dubious advertisement such as spiritualists, fraudsters, scammers from its Direct-to-Home (DTH) platforms.
According to the service provider platform, scammers, fraudsters, juju, and occultism, among others are opted out on their platform in the first place. In a said statement, the service provider cautioned strongly against showing such content so as to restore the values of the platform.
“In recent days our attention has been drawn to the fact that some channels on our DTH platform use the medium to promote scammers, fraudsters, juju, and occultism, among others. While some of this content is alleged to have fuelled two young boys to kill yet another younger boy.”
”We strongly advise that if you have been showing any of the content, then please cease and desist in order to restore the values of the platform. Any channel failing to adhere to this directive and utilizing our bouquet license, albeit temporarily will be left without a cover and as such will be removed from the platform.”
Ishmael was gruesomely murdered by his two teenage friends with the intention to use his body parts for money rituals. The two suspects Felix Nyarko, 16, and Nicholas Kiki, 18, told the police after their arrest that the spiritualist demanded a human being and ¢5000 in exchange for riches.
