
Ghana’s President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has stated emphatically that, same-sex marriage will not be legalized under his watch as president.
The President made these remarks at St. Micheal and All Angels Cathedral in Asante Mampong during the installation of the Second Archbishop of the Anglican Church of Ghana.
“For same-sex marriage to be legalized in Ghana, it will not happen in my time as President”, he said.
The president’s assertion comes in the wake of pressure from Ghanaians to come clear his stands and position on the issue of Lesbians, Gays, Bisexuals, Transgender, and Queer. (LGBTQ+).
