The schedule for the vetting of the ministerial appointment for President Akufo-Addo’s second term has been released by parliament’s appointment committee.

The vetting is expected to last throughout the month of February into the first week of March. The actual process will however commence on February 10th and end on March 9th, of which the vetting committee is expected to vet at most three nominees a day.

Minister-designate for Health Kwaku Agyeman Manu and the Minister-designate for National Security Kan Dapaah will face the vetting committee first. Earlier on, Ranking Member of the Committee Mr. Haruna Iddrisu had explained that this is to enable the Health Minister to get to work due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The Minister-designate for Finance, Ken Ofori Atta will also be vetted on February 16 alongside Ursula Owusu-Ekuful, Minister-designate for Communication and Digitisation.
