Trump sends delegation to Akufo-Addo’s inauguration

U.S President Donald J. Trump today has announced that, a designation of a Presidential Delegation will attend the second Inauguration of His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, President of the Republic of Ghana, on Thursday, January 7, 2021, in Accra, Ghana.

The Honorable Dr. J. Peter Pham, Ambassador, United States Special Envoy for the Sahel Region of Africa, will lead the delegation.

However, Thirteen (13) African Heads of State including the President of Senegal, Macky Sall, President of Liberia, George Weah and the President of Cote d’Ivoire, Alassane Ouattara have confirmed that they will be in attendance at the swearing-in ceremony of President-elect, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and the Vice President-elect Mahamudu Bawumia on Thursday, 7th January 2021.
