The flag bearer and presidential candidate of the Progressive People’s Party (PPP), Brigitte Dzogbenuku has cautioned “Voltarians” to cast their votes wisely by voting for a party that can develop the nation.
Brigitte Dzogbenuku made these statements on her campaign tour to the Volta Region of Ghana to collect substantial votes on the ticket of the PPP. The flagbearer interacted with some indigenes of Akome in the Ho West Constituency and signalled them not to focus on the tribe of a particular candidate to vote for them since that will make the country be at a standstill. The PPP flagbearer who interacted with residents of Akome gave reasons why she is a qualified candidate for the Presidency stating that her governance under the ticket of the PPP is not a family and friend affair.
“Within our party(PPP), we have representatives across the region, which means when voted into power, there will be nothing like family and friend governance. If we want to vote for a party because of the tribe, then our country will remain the same” said the flagbearer.
Brigitte Dzogbenuku further paid a courtesy call to the Paramount chief of the “Ve” traditional area at Ve Deme in the Volta Region and joined the chief to celebrate his 80 anniversary. On her arrival, she danced her way to the auditorium to ewe songs being sung by some in-house members. She later told the people to cast their votes for a party they believe can develop the country come December 7. She further advised all to embrace humility and seek the peace of the country.
*When you want to vote, cast your vote for a party you believe can develop the country. During the election, let us humble ourselves and seek the peace of our country” cautioned the flagbearer.
The PPP presidential candidate exhibited some traditional dancing skills as she danced to some soothing ewe songs on her tour to the Region.
