No Dede,no Partey -Sudan daze Stars

Blackstars’ perfect start to the African Cup of Nations Campaign was ended by a last ditch goal from MC Algiers attacker Abdul Rahman.

  • Sudan danger-man Mohammed Abdul Rahman’s last minute goal snatched AFCON qualification from Ghana to hand Sudan a lifeline in the qualifiers. 
  • Jordan Ayew captained the Blackstars in the absence of Dede,Partey and Goalkeeper Richard Ofori
  • Blackstars returnee Fatau Dauda was in post for the Blackstars
  • Blackstars have to wait to qualify to for the next Afcon to be held in Cameroon

The MC Algiers forward Abdul Rahman rose high to connect to a cross in injury time to secure victory for the home side.

Blackstars beat Sudan in the first leg of the double header in Cape Coast with captain Dede Ayew bagging a brace.

His absence however proved costly as brother Jordan Ayew[Crystal Palace] recorded Ghana’s only shot on goal
