ELECTIONZONE: We only suggested that the town would benefit more if the project was a multi-storey building – Kpone Traditional Council responds

The traditional Council of Kpone have spoken against the report on social media that the Paramount chief Nii Tetteh Out II rigorously drove the president away on Sunday after the sod cutting ceremony for the for the construction of a 40-bed hospital in the Kpone-Katamanso Municipality.

The post on social media tagged are ‘you going to cut another sod today’ garnered a lot of comments sparking rage amongst members of the leading opposition party, NDC and NPP followers. 

The Divisional chief of Gbetseli, Nii Kojo Amankwah Sune II who spoke on behalf of the Paramount chief at a media briefing to clear the false news circulating on social media said it might probably be the doing of some people out there who wants to destroy the relationship between Kpone Chief Councils and His Excellency Nana Addo Danquah Akufo Addo.

‘The Paramount chief of Kpone only suggested that the town would benefit more if the project was a multi-store building which would prevent the ‘waste of land’.

H.E Nana Addo then informed the Paramount chief to have a discussion with the constructor of the project on his suggestion. Aside this, a three member team have been set up for the project but it seems the media house took it the wrong way and they went ahead to circulate the false information.

The Chief Council added that they are very happy with the project and the person behind the false news would not have it easy with them.
