Residents of Sori No. 1, a community in the West Gonja Municipality of the Savannah Region have promised to reward their sitting Member of Parliament for the area another term Hon. Adams Mutawakilu for his commitment to providing them a grinding machine and a health facility. According to them the intervention by the MP is timely and will go a long way to help them.
This comes after the MP commissioned a corn-mill machine in the community. According to sources, Madam Mary Bangnan a resident in the community disclosed that the corn mill machine will help reduce the cost (Transport) traveling for longer distances before getting their food crops processed into food. She added that the MP does not discriminate and therefore everyone in the community should vote massively for him.
Another man within the locality Mr. Daabi Laari explained that having a grinding mill in the area will benefit everybody and not just a few because food is what sustains life. He said they can now eat early because the food will be prepared on time unlike in the past where women prepared food at late hour leaving children crying hunger all over.
The MP on his part said corn mill is one of the essential needs of the people in the community. He said it is a clear manifestation of development.
Hon. Adams Mutawakilu said time is important in life therefore the situation whereby the people will walk for longer hours before getting their crops process has been solved.
