The Junior High School graduate of Cosmos International School, kelvin Odartei , who mysteriously built a car with scrap metal gets attention from Kantanka Automobile Company Limited.
The Chief Executive Officer of Kantanka Automobile Mr. Safo Jnr has agreed to mentor young Jhs graduate Kelvin Odartei to help him achieve his dreams.
He indicated that the 18-year-old boy is a “bornmade crafter” and the best place for him to nurture his talent is with Kantanka. He said, “the boy needs a lot of mentoring and we at Kantanka are willing to teach him”.
Mr Safo Jnr disclosed plans by his company to embark on a nationwide talent to hunt for people to strengthen Ghana’s Automobile industry.
He stated; ” I believe there are many such people out there so I will soon launch a program to unearth such talents”.
He then urged kelvin Odartei to pursue his dreams and not to allow anything to kill his skill. Meanwhile, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology has contacted the young man to support in building his talent.
In view of this, The Ministry of Education is also offering to enroll him in its Technical and Vocational Education and Training Programme.
According to Deputy Education Minister, Gifty Twum Ampofo, they are elated at the talent of the young boy and will support him through his secondary education.
