Mahama vows to build a cashew processing factory in Wenchi

The Former President of the Republic of Ghana and the Flag-bearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), His Excellency John Dramani Mahama has promised to build a cashew processing factory for the people of Wenchi Constituency in his next government if he wins the upcoming December 7 general elections.

Mahama was speaking at a durbar of chiefs and people organized in his honor at Nchiraa in the Wenchi Municipal of the Bono Region. The durbar formed part of a 4-day tour of the Bono Region whiles the country gradually make hade to the Polls on December 7.

According to him, people come to buy the cashew at cheaper prices, send to their country, process, brand it in their company’s name and exported for more profits at the detriment of the tireless Ghanaian farmers. This, he said, is worsening the plight of the farmers. He then promised to put up a processing factory to deal with the issue.

The General Secretary for the party, Johnson Asiedu Nketiah revealed that the next National Democratic Congress government would complete all its developmental projects which have been abandoned by the current government including any good ones the NPP would leave behind after the December elections.

The Paramount Chief of Nchiraa Traditional Area, Nana Tabiri Yaw III whiles expressing gratitude to Mr. Mahama for the developmental projects he carried out during his tenure as president, made an appeal to him to come to their aid as they are facing quite a number of challenges.

Meanwhile, the flagbearer still on his tour is having an engagement with members of the Association of garages in Sunyani magazine. Addressing them also, he has made some promises which he assures them that they will be delivered when he comes to power.
