The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has said that come Monday August 31st, 2020 it will launch its manifesto to Ghanaians.
This was revealed by the party’s Communication Office, Mr. Sammy Gyamfi at a press conference on Monday 24th August 2020, whiles responding to a question put to him by journalists who sought to know when the party will launch its 2020 manifesto.
He explained that the manifesto was presented to the party’s manifesto committee weeks ago.“The flagbearer of the NDC has indicated earlier that our manifesto will be launched this month, to be precise the 31st of August. He stressed.
As to where it will take place, he again disclosed saying “those of you who are wondering whether it will be in Accra or another region, i will like to say that it will be in Accra.”
The party will however, issue a statement spelling out other details of the launch in the course of the week.
This announcement follows the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) manifesto launch, which took place over the weekend.
There have been suggestions that the NDC deliberately delayed launching its manifesto in order to copy ideas from the NPP manifesto.Meanwhile, the NPP’s General Secretary of the NPP, John Boadu made this allegation at the party’s manifesto launch.
