Ghanaian citizenship is not based on language barrier – NDC

The opposition National Democratic Congress has strongly accused the governing New Patriotic party of using a particular language barrier to prevent eligible registrant from registering in the ongoing voters’ registration which will come to an end today.

It was alleged by the communication’s Director of the NDC Sammy Gyamfi that about 17 people have been arrested on the bases of understanding the meaning of “Bonjour” which is a French word.

Earlier today on Adoa TV’s AM Ghana morning show a member of the NPP communication team from the Afadzato south districts Tawiah Foster admitted he prevented a registrant from registering upon detecting she was not a native, however responding to this allegations, Ibrahim Osman a member of the NDC communication’s team accused the NPP for not challenging the registrant rather than sacking and preventing them.
