Government see covid as a financial bonanza - Hon. Agbodza

The Member of Parliament for Adaklu Constituency, and Ranking Member for Roads and Transport Committee, Hon. Kwame Governs Agbodza addressing the media in Parliament, called on the Finance Minister and the Governing New Patriotic Party to tell the truth as to how the Gh¢ 17.52 billion given under covid was managed.

The covid Bonanza has got the NPP 1.2billion stabilisation fund, 6 billion from the International Monetary Fund(IMF) and World Bank and 10 billion which Bank of Ghana gave out.

Hon Governs said ” we were all told about part payment of electricity bill which everyone enjoyed”.

Part-payment of water for the people of Adaklu never enjoyed reason being that we don’t have government supply of water in Adaklu Constituency, he added.

Three weeks ago the Deputy finance minister said they’re yet to pay a dime for the fount line health workers and are yet to know who a fount liner is.

He said “I asked the question the time they made the promise but I was rolled out by the speaker saying my question wasn’t a good question.

He stated ” I don’t know if Ghanaians are looking forward to see anything positive  form government”

Money was provided to feed people for three months but they fed them for less than one month and eventually stopped feeding them.

He asked that

“Where are those monies”?

Ghanaians would like to know what the governing New Patriotic Party distributed 2000 cedis each to their branch executive under covid support.

The Finance Minister should. Explain to us.
