The President of NAGRAT, Angel Carbonu has said the current development at the Accra Girls Senior High School raises fears of what might be going on in other schools as well and has therefore called on government as a matter of urgency to close down schools.
President of NAGRAT, Angel Carbonu has iterated that what they foresaw is unfortunately coming to bear fruit as the issue at hand must be handled with urgency.
He added that the matter is that Accra Girls is not the only Senior High School in this country that does not operate in isolation and students do not come from isolated geographical entities and the situation could be happening in other schools as well.
He stressed that before the country gets to its peak where the issue cannot be controlled government should bite the bullet and close down schools. That is my personal opinion.
Eight COVID-19 cases have been recorded at the Accra Girls Senior High School (AGISS) and the Ghana Health Service and Ghana Education Service have deployed a joint team to assess COVID-19 situation in the various Senior High Schools.
