Mr. Daniel Adotei Bulley a voluntary blood donor has today marked his 59th time of donating to the National Blood Service at Korle Bu.
The 54-year-old said he is never scared but rather ensures to donate blood every 4 months, adding that COVID 19 doesn’t scare him from donating to help save lives of others who may in dire need of blood transfusion.
He added that it is his wish to be a regular donor at least 3times in a year.
Mr David Dodzi Ahiadzro, head of donor recruitment at the National Blood service says every person has between 4500 to 6000 moles of blood and any family member of a voluntary donor stands a greater chance of receiving blood at any given time without replacing it.
He added that at every milestone, all voluntary donors are acknowledged and motivated through various incentives.
