Accra has not recorded any Major flooding since 2017 – Malik Abbey 

NPP Communicating team member, Malik Abbey has indicated that Accra has currently not experienced any major flooding in the nation since the NPP Government took office.

Discussing on AM Ghana show on the issue of flooding in the country, Mr Malik Abbey disclosed that, Major areas within Accra that experienced severe flooding during downpour have been mitigated.

He stressed that the NPP Government and the AMA have Mitigate the level of flooding problem in the country laying emphasis on the construction of Kaneshie drainage and other drainage sites that do experience heavy flooding due to server downpour.

However, Isaac Otoo of Adoa TV, have currently made a reportage on a flooding issue on Chorkor Chemunaa leading to the collapsing of the Chemunaa bridge.

However, the CEO of Coastal Development Authority Lawyer Jerry Ahmed and a team from the coastal Development area have begun construction of a new bridge to replace the old collapsed bridge.
