Mr Ebenezer Nkrumah, leader of the Members of Coalition of Graduate Unemployed Allied Health Professionals (COAHP) have disclosed that, Government should open-up an assurance for their clearance in job employment.
The Allied Health Professionals, a health organization involved in the fight of the COVID-19 pandemic through a community contact tracing and testing used by the Government sent a warry statement to the Government threatening to withdraw from the exercise if they are not fully or permanently employed into the public health service.
Last week, the Coalition threatened to discontinue the exercise and demanded permanent employment from the government complaining about Governments discrimination in recruiting the 2017 batch of Nurses and Midwives while excluding the Allied Health Professional of the same year group.
Speaking on Radio, Ebenezer Nkrumah leader of the association indicated that, “though our 10 days’ salaries out of the 14 days’ exercise were not yet given, we still continued to deliver effectively to the public but we are now dropping our tools if Government is not employing us permanently”.
The coalition further cautioned the public over persons who will disguise as Allied Health Professionals to do contact tracing and testing. Eben indicated that only Certified Allied Health Professionals can perform such a task.
