Government through the Ministry of Communications In partnership with iQuent Technologies have today April 13 launched the GH Covid-19 tracker app in its bid to counter the spread of Coronavirus in Ghana.
Accessible as a browser-based app, the COVID-19 Tracker will allow persons to self-report symptoms without needing to visit a healthcare facility and thereby aiding in social distancing.
Additionally, the tracker can also locate individuals who attend the same function as part of measuers towards the enhanced contact tracing exercise to curb the spread of the coronavirus.
Vice President, Dr Bawumia formally launched the application at a virtual concert in Accra.
The virtual concert to launch the app had performances from Shatta Wale, Kuami Eugene, Great Ampong and other musicians
The COVID-19 Tracker will be available for download this week, according to the Communications Minister.
How to download and install GH COVID-19 Tracker App?
Visit the official website ghcovid19.com
Accept Terms & Conditions to download and use GH COVID-19 Tracker App
Click on “download” to start downloading the app
After clicking on download, you may be prompted to trust the source of this app.
You will see app file downloading on your device.
Once download is complete, go to the folder where app is downloaded and tap on the GHCOVID19.apk file to start installation of app. Tap Yes when prompted
When you click on “INSTALL”, you may be prompted to allow installation from unknown sources on your device
If prompted, click on checkbox for Unknown Sources under Settings on your device to allow the installation.
You will see app installing on your device.
Once installation of app is complete, click on “Open” to launch the app and start using it
If you have any issues downloading the android app, you can call for help on 0307007001 or the short code 769. Also, you can use USSD service by dialing *769# and answering the questions
