The President Of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwah Akuffo Addo in his sixth televised address on 9th April stated that the restriction on movements in some selected cities has been extnded by one week, effective 1am Sunday, 12th April,2020.
In his address, he said a total of fourteen thousand, six hundred and eleven, 14,611, contact tracing samples were collected in Accra and Kumasi.
Eleven thousand, three hundred and eight, 11,308, were taken in Accra whiles three thousand, three hundred and three, 3,303, contact samples were taken in Kumasi,
Out of the total numbers, seventy seven,77, came out positive.
Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo added that although the lockdown is harsh, it has been critical in beating down Ghana’s Coronavirus case count.
Ghana’s current Coronavirus case remains three hundred and seventy eight,378 as of Thursday, April 9, 2020.
