Allowances to health workers: prez not thinking of leaving anyone behind – Health Minister

Minister of health, hon. Kwaku Agyemang Manu has said the president is not thinking of leaving anyone behind in the payment of allowances to health workers in their efforts in the fight against coronavirus pandemic.

According to him, not all health workers will do some work that will make them take advantage of the large bonus.

Explaining that a number of health workers are on study leave prior to covid 19 and are staying at home.

While students of critical care nurses school of peri- operatives and the school for critical care have already been recalled waiting to be deployed to offer help in some isolation centres.

” All of us will get the tax exemption but honestly if you compare those who are standing by in the school waiting to be deployed to Ga-east, to the University of Ghana medical centre and those of us who are sitting at home now, I wouldn’t make a conclusion “-he said.

Adding the ministry is dealing with modalities.
