Covid 19 fight: Ghana health service to receive 50% bonus in June

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo – Addo has stated that all Health workers will not pay taxes on their emoluments for the next three months.

He disclosed this in his fifth address to the nation on the measures taken against the spread of Coronavirus in the country.

He, however, indicated that all Frontline health workers will receive an additional allowance of fifty percent of their basic salary per month.

Speaking concerning governments next line of action in the fight against the coronavirus, he said, the Health Service is yet to receive results of samples from fifteen thousand, three hundred and eighty- four(15,384) out of nineteen thousand, two hundred and seventy – six (19,276) person’s who have been reached through contact tracing.

The president further stated that It is the results of these tests that will determine the future course of action.
Also, Government’s policy and measures will continue to be driven by the science in this matter.

This is to encourage health personnel in the country to help in the fight of covid 19.
