Absa bank supports Ghana’s covid-19 fund with us$173,000

The then Barclays Bank but now Absa Bank Ghana Limited has donated US$173.100 to support the government of Ghana’s effort in combating the Covid-19 in the country.

Absa Bank said, the donation was a demonstration of its commitment towards the well being of Ghanaians.
The donation was purposely to buy more testing kits as well as Personal Protective Equipment for the Frontline Health Workers.

The Bank has waived charges on interbank instant digital transfers of up to hundred cedis daily to support its clients during this pandemic.

We have been closely monitoring the development concerning reports on Covid-19 in Ghana and the world too with a report from government alongside health institutions.

This pandemic is very alarming so as a caring Bank, it is necessary for us to support our clients who keep us in business, said the Managing Director, Abena Osei Poku
