The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has today presented to Kayayie at Old Fadama, items in support of the battle against the covid-19 pandemic in their locality.
The items presented included
Bottled water, liquid soap, nose masks, food items, sanitizers, drinks and Veronica buckets.
The delegation was led by the Chairman of the party Hon. Ofosu Ampofo assisted by Hon Prosper Bani, Deputy Secretary-General Peter Otokunor and Hon Alex Segbefia. The regional executives present included chairman Ade Coker, vice chairman Vinyo and regional Zongo Caucus.
Members of the delegation after the presentation also conducted some advocacy and awareness training for the recipients to educate them about Covid-19 and how to protect themselves.
Commenting on the donation, the National Chairman, Hon Ofosu Ampofo told recipients that their work can never be taken for granted and that their needs are a priority for the party.
He also admonished them to take particular care of themselves and take the issues of social distancing seriously.
The MP for the Area – Hon Nii Lante Vanderpuiye stressed the concern of the party for the hardships that the head porters face in the community . He admonished them not to take things for granted and comply with the directives of the public health directives .
He assured them that this too shall pass but they should ensure they are not part of the statistics and wished them well.
This donation follows an earlier donation made on behalf of the party on Sunday 29th March 2020 by the flag bearer H.E John Dramani Mahama to the Ridge Hospital where he presented 100 Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) sets containing gloves, masks, coveralls, boots and 400 cartons of water to frontline health workers.
