The Ghana Revenue Authority has challenged itself to exceed its revenue target to GHc 55BN for 2020.
The budgeted revenue target for 2020 fiscal year is GHC 47.2BN, but the GRA has challenged itself to collect 55BN before the end of 2020.
This represents a growth rate of 25.2% over the 2019 actual collection. Tax revenue growth of 23.2% represents a 10.8% increase over the 14.4% growth of the economy
“As an institution, we are stretching ourselves to collect 55BN for 2020 fiscal year, Rev. Oduro Yeboah, Assistant commissioner-general of GRA revealed this whiles speaking to Adoatv’s reporter Isaac otoo in an exclusive interview after the Ghanaian German Economic Association’s annual event dubbed “Ghana’s Economic Outlook for the year 2020”.
The Ghana Economic Outlook for the year 2020 is an annual event organized by the Ghanaian German Economic association for its members and the business community.
Among the topics is the economic forecast for 2020, how companies are to position themselves to take advantage and the benefit of the 2020 budget as well as the new tax administration.
