The minority caucus in parliament has called on the NPP government to ensure that measure are put in place to expedite investigation into the murder case of the investigative journalist, Ahmed Suale
Addressing the Media on the commemoration of the World Radio Day, the member of Parliament for Ningo Prampram Hon. Samuel Nartey George indicated that journalists are no longer safe in the country.
He said the perpetrators must be apprehended and punish according to the law to ensure the safety of press freedom.
He noted that most award-winning journalists have a burden the profession due to the fear of them ending up just like their other colleagues
He indicated that the president must expedite the investigation into the case
However, he applauded the media for the outstanding job they do in the country and wish them the best in all their endeavours
