President swears in 2 Council of State members

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has sworn in two new members of the Council of State, with a charge to them to help enrich the work of the council for the benefit of the Presidency and the people of Ghana.

The new members are Major General Richardson Baiden (retd) and Alhaji Abubakar Abdul Rahman, who replaced Alhaji Mogtar Sahunun and Nana Obiri Egyir, both of whom have passed away.

Swearing them in, President Akufo-Addo said “no matter how smart or well-endowed one is, he or she needs a group of elders to advise him or her.
