Soccerex 2019: Ghana Football represented by Medeama SC and Techiman City

Ghana Football was represented at the Opening of the world’s largest Football gathering of Stakeholders, Soccerex 2019 in Miami by Medeama SC and Techiman City Football club.

The conference put together by GACP Sports is in its second year in Miami, a city bidding to host the 2026 United World cup.

Medeama SC is represented by the president of the club, Moses Armah, and the international rep of the club Kojo Thompson, while Techiman city is represented by the club’s President Charles Kwadwo Ntim, also known as Micky Charles.

Another Ghanaian participating at the conference is Oliver Arthur, Chief Executive Officer of Arthur Legacy, a football player transfer agency.

Ghana However do not have any exhibition stand at the conference to showcase what the Ghana Football Association has in stock.

Speaking at the opening of Soccerex, Chairman of the Soccerex group Joe DaGrosa said “if soccer is to truly achieve its full sporting and economic potential, then a global effort is required, and the many nations represented, all bringing their unique soccer cultures, values, and experience”.

The visibly cheerful looking Ghanaian contingent at the conference served as resource persons to some of the event conference networking cafes which are the central hub of the event.

More than 1,800 soccer industry stakeholders from 80 countries are attending this year’s event at the Turnberry Resort in Aventura in Miami for the Soccerx USA conference.

The conference which includes 90 speakers, also have Major League Soccer commissioner Don Garber, Inter Miami co-owner Jorge Mas, CONCACAF general secretary Philippe Moggio, and Amanda Duffy, the president of the National Women’s Soccer League in attendance.
