The Minority leader in Parliament, Haruna Iddrisu has said that the minority is expecting the finance minister to come up with some incorrect figures In the 2020 budget statement scheduled for November 13.
Speaking at a pre-budget Press briefing by the minority NDC, Mr Iddrisu explained that the plans of the government are to create a false outstanding economic outlook for the country.
“We know the finance minister is preparing to come to parliament with some mashed potatoes on Wednesday of massaged numbers.
In order to justify that he is doing well, “Haruna Iddrisu said”
“There are many happenings in the country including numbers that are been hidden from dollars, from IMF, from ghetto Ghanaian public, which would allow him to have cooked numbers in other to justify what deficit he wants to sell to the Ghanaian people “he added.
The minority leader said this during a pre-budget Press briefing on 11 November 2019.
