Parliament calls for intense police protection

Members of Parliament have today called for intense police protection to ensure that parliamentarians are protected from all forms of attacks.

They suggested that all Members of Parliament should be provided police escorts at their various homes

This call comes after the Member of Parliament for Nyiaeso, Kennedy Kankam, and his family were held at gunpoint in his house for three hours last Sunday.

According to the legislator for Nhyiaeso, the gunmen made away with some valuable items including a 4-wheel drive vehicle which was later found.
