Club of the century Asante Kotoko have taken away their voting rights from their CEO, George Amoako, in relation to the upcoming GFA Elections on October 25.
The news emerged on Monday afternoon which means George Amoako will not vote in the upcoming GFA elections.
George Amoako and Nana Gyambibi Coker were previously chosen by the club to vote for it during the elections as demanded by the GFA Statute. The two gentlemen had their names on the official delegates list of the FA.
However the club CEO, Amoako has now been replaced by Isaac Donkor as its delegate for the elections.
It is unclear why Kotoko took that decision but sources close to the club said Amoako and the club seem to have different preferences in terms of the candidate to vote for on the day of the elections.
Kotoko, like the other 15 Ghana Premier League clubs, will have to vote for their preferred candidate and the general rule is that the delegates should vote for the candidates their clubs are supporting in the polls.
