SEX FOR GRADES: undercover in West African universities

BBC Africa Eye has conducted investigations on sexual harassment by lecturers in the various Universities in West Africa.

Ghana and Nigeria came up as the topmost countries with lectures harassing students on Campus.

BBC sent undercover journalists posing as students inside the University of Lagos and the University of Ghana to investigate sex in return for grades that have been said to be abuse but is almost never proven.

The investigations conducted by BBC Africa Eye captured incidents of sexual harassment by these lecturers including two professors in Ghana and other West Africa’s most prestigious universities.

A trailer of the documentary has been released ahead of the premiering of the documentary.

Sources reveal that one of the professors, Mr Jyanpo whose position is critical in the current administration of the university of lagon has been moving from one place to the other, seeking support to redeem his sinking image in the wake of the announcement.
