The 5th Ghana renewable Energy fair and national energy symposium was officially opened today at the Accra International Conference Centre on the
theme: OPPORTUNITIES FOR RENEWABLE ENERGY AND ENERGY EFFICIENCY IN A CONSTRAINED ENERGY SECTOR
The five-day conference is expected to shape the conversation on integrating renewable energy into the country’s energy mix and serve as a platform for collaboration among the government, the private sector and civil society.
It’s also to promote renewable energy technologies and create linkage among the various stakeholders in the renewable energy space, such as researchers, entrepreneurs, industries and consumers.
The Senior Minister Hon. Osafo Marfo who graced the occasion on behalf of the vice president Dr Mahamudu Bawumia gave more insight about the fair.
The Ghana Renewable Energy Fair, in collaboration with the Ghana Education Service introduced the high school’s renewable energy challenge at the fair.
This is to showcase innovative renewable energy efficiency project designed by SHS students.
Ten Schools have been selected out of 29 in a zonal competition to exhibit at the fair.
