Poor sanitation at Nyankumasi Ahenkro market

The Nyankumasi Ahenkro market is Located in the Assin South district of the central region.

This market is one of the places which needs the intervention of authorities to ensure the safety of traders and foodstuffs as sanitation is in its poorest state.

Even though market tolls are paid by traders, dust bins have not been provided for the proper disposal of waste and this has forced traders to dispose of waste indiscriminately.

As a result of erosion, Refuse is been carried from various points to the market which is unhygienic and can lead to diseases such as cholera and others.

Though several calls have been made for a possible solution to the canker authorities have tended deaf ears to the plea by the people and refuse is left to rot at the mercy of the weather.

Traders are appealing to Appropriate Authorities to as a matter of urgency address the issue in other to avoid its bad implications.
