The Former President for the Ghana Association of Writers Nana Kwesi Gyan Apenteng has disclosed that every government must make it a mandate to invest in the promotion of reading.
Speaking as the Keynote Speaker at the 2nd edition of the Ghana Reads Festival on Wednesday 2nd October, he indicated that Ghana as a country can develop adequately if much investment is focused on reading in our education sector to produce intellectual personalities.
Therefore, every government must ensure that enough facilities are provided in the basic, secondary and tertiary institutions to aid in reading.
Again, Christian and Muslims must also join the reading awareness campaign by providing libraries at their various churches and mosques
