The Deputy Minister for Local Government and Rural Development, Mr Augustine Collins Ntim, has challenged Metropolitan, Municipal and District Assembly members (MMDAs) to discharge their duties above politics or favour.
He said favouritism was of the things that cause division, chaos and delays in development.
Mr Ntim said this in an interview with the media, during the last general meeting of the Offinso North District Assembly.
The Offinso North District Assembly which comprises of 37 members, 24 elected officers, 11 government appointees and DCE was dissolved after the general meeting.
Mr Ntim who is also a Member of Parliament (MP) for Offinso Constituency, charged the MMDAs to emulate a shining example of peace and unity.
He said, Emulate my relations with my DCE, Mr David Kwasi Asare Boakye“Adwuma Wura” and let’s discharge our duties above political lines.”
He urged MMDAs to support the policies of President Nana Akuffo Addo and make help Ghana a better place to attract tourists and investors.
