
The International Games and Competition Committee have recommended 14 federations to compete in the African Games starting from the 19th of August to the 31st of August 2019 in Rabat, Morocco.
These will the 12th African Games and the first time that the Games will be hosted by Morocco
The technical sub-committee of the International Games and Competition Committee held a meeting at the conference room of the Ministry of Youth and Sports and came out with the recommendations of federations, Quota and number of athletes for the upcoming games in morocco 2019.
During the meeting, It was agreed that the number of federations should be 14 and number of athletes should be 121
The federations are Athletics, Badminton, Beach volley, Boxing, cycling, fencing, Football, Hockey, Judo, Karate, Table Tennis, Taekwando and Weightlifting.
The members of the IGCC made a comment saying they cannot guarantee that football will win a medal at this year’s games.
The games will be officially be opened by King Mohammed VI.
54 nations will participate in this year’s games in 23 events.
