The sports minister Hon. Isaac Asiamah has today presented Ghana’s financial expenditure during the 2019 African cup of nations in Egypt.
Presenting the statement on the floor of Parliament he said that Ghana spent $4.5 million on this year’s AFCON tournament in Egypt.
He added that the black star’s team was given the maximum support but performed poorly and failed to break the 37 years of Ghana’s trophy drought.
The minister further added that a detailed report on the AFCON tournament is to be provided by the Normalization committee on the 26th of July 2019
This year 2019 competition was the worst since 2006 tournament.
