MINORITY ABANDONS PARLIAMENT FOR PRIMARIES

Most members of Parliament representing the minority National Democratic Congress failed to attend sittings yesterday, 18th of July 2019.

According to reports almost all members seeking re-election have travelled to their various constituencies to submit their nomination forms.

 The Minority was represented by only a few members in the law-making chamber as dozens of legislators who have the intention to run for another term travelled to their respective constituencies to submit their nomination forms to the party.

“All the MPs seeking to be re-election are not around except a few of those whose constituencies are in the Greater Accra Region that are taking turns in the house one after the other.

At midday, Hohoe MP Bernice Helloo and Tamale Central MP, Inusah Fuseini and the 2nd deputy speaker who are all not contesting in the upcoming primaries were among a few MPs who were representing the Minority in the house.
