The Member of Parliament for the Ablekuma North Constituency in the Greater Accra Region, Hon. Nana Akua Owusu-Afriyie has inaugurated a Bus terminal at Darkuman station.
The establishment of the part of the terminal forms of government efforts to demonstrate true leadership and commitment to Ghanaians.
The new terminal has a full complement of modern facilities such as washrooms, offices for drivers and management, restrooms, security lighting system and a well laid out drainage system.
Speaking to the media at the inauguration ceremony, the member of parliament for Ablekuma North Constituency, Hon. Nana Akua Owusu-Afriyie, said most residents leaving in the constituency complain about the lack of bus terminal in her constituency which made her took advantage to comply with the residents to inaugurate a new bus terminal for the constituency.
She pledged to the residents and drivers to maintain facilities at the terminal in order to stand the test of time.
She also used this opportunity to donate wheelchairs to four hospitals in the constituency.
The Ablekuma North Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) Mr Kofi Ofori also said that most people find it difficult to board a car during the raining season and the new bus terminal is going to help reduce the challenges the residents face and advise drivers to be disciplined and maintain the facilities of the new terminal.
