ATL IS NOT FACING THE RISK OF TOTAL COLLAPSE – HON. ALAN KYEREMANTENG

The Minister for Trade and Industry Hon. Alan Kwadzo Kyeremanteng has outlined various policies being put in place to save Akosombo Textiles limited from total collapse.

Speaking on the floor of parliament the minister stated that the ministry has in July 2018 implemented a comprehensive stimulus package for Akosombo Textiles limited that includes the initial injection of Gh17 million into the company’s operations.

He also added that as a result of this timely intervention the company upgraded its machinery, identified new export markets and improved its overall operational efficiency.

He also informed the house that the government under the leadership of president Akuffo Addo has taken concrete actions to restore the ATL to its glorious days as a veritable source of formal employment and income generation for the people in Asuogyaman and its surrounding communities.

He further stated that the company is

 currently not in a situation that could be described as facing the risk of total collapse.
